I tried doing the blog thing before the girls came along, but the blog, like my life was sidetracked by being pregnant and all the things that entailed. However, there are so many things that happen each day, week, and even minute, that I want to remember some of them before they slip away.
A little bit about me: I'm a SAHM, married to a wonderful guy, Bob, who's an OB/GYN I met while I was working as a nurse in the emergency department. We dated for 3 months and just before I started graduate school to get my MS in Nursing and become a family nurse practitioner, we got engaged. We were married on June 14th, 2002. I graduated in May of 2003 and began working in a dermatology office. We found out we were expecting our first child in December 2003 and Kevin arrived on August 16, 2004. I had gone on bedrest at the end of June and after Kevin arrived, I decided to stay at home with him. It was a good thing because Kevin was colicky. In my mom's words, he was the crankiest baby she'd ever seen! After about a year, though, he turned the corner and has become a funny, talkative, inquisitive, mischievous child.
In December 2005, we found out we were pregnant again and on New Year's Eve, found out that there were two in there. After I spent 5 weeks in the hospital with preterm labor, Delaney and Claire arrived on July 28th, 2006. They are happy, healthy, busy babies who keep me hopping. I am very fortunate that my mom, who had moved in to take care of Kevin while I was in the hospital, decided to keep hanging out here. She keeps us sane.
All in all, we're a pretty happy little family:)
